Pep and Margalida live at Son Gornals, a century-old farm located in Mallorca’s countryside. Retired and full of life, they make sure the farm is constantly running smoothly. They take care of the house, the vegetable garden and the pool, and Pep feeds and fattens the rabbits, chickens, lamb and pigs. Each winter, he buys eight piglets that he nourishes each and every day until the slaughter. On this day, the whole family gathers in Son Gornals; the old and the young work hard on the slaughter, while enjoying this family tradition. With the clan gathered and diligent, and the wisdom and sharpened cleaver of Toni the butcher, the slaughter of Son Gornals is celebrated once again. With the pantry full, winter can come.
